About this Event

As a church, God has given us to each other to help us through life But how ready and well equipped are we to do this? As Paul urged the whole Thessalonian church, we are to ‘admonish the idle, encourage the fainthearted, help the weak and be patient with all.’ It’s obvious from this and other scripture that we are meant to help each other through all sorts of problems and that we should do it with ‘the Word of Christ dwelling richly . . . with all wisdom’ (as Paul said to the Ephesian church). 

The Bible has answers for life. Biblical Counselling Australia’s Biblical Soul Care Certificate course is about equipping us to help others grow in godliness and find joy and peace through the many and varied struggles of life. The struggle might be anxiety, fear, discouragement, despondency, anger, alcohol, lust, ungodly speech, materialism, or any of the many other things that impact our lives and entangle us. The course is open to anyone desiring to become further trained in helping others in a biblical and God-centred way. Whether you require further training for ministries in the church or just want to better encourage others in Christ, this conference is for you.

Throughout the year, Biblical Counselling Australia will partner with Reforming Church to deliver biblical soul care training. If you’re interested in pursuing further training, certification, or personal help, this is one way to begin your path with our basic soul care training course.

What is Included with Registration?

Each attendee will receive a booklet from BCA to keep notes and follow along in our study.

Light lunch, tea/coffee and snacks will also be provided. (Pending COVID restrictions)

What are the Costs Associated with the program?

• $30 per individual participant per module attended.
• Participants seeking certification will pay an additional $50 directly to BCA per assignment for grading (three in total).

Two books will be regularly referred to and required to read should you decide to pursue the course certificate by completing assignments these will be available to purchase for $20 each (below RRP).

2. Biblical Soul Care: How Do You Live It? (Restoring Broken Believers to the Grace of God)

   Theme: Progressive Sanctification, how does someone grow in Christ

3. Biblical Soul Care: How Do You Apply It? (Applying Biblical Soul Care Principles in Relationships)
   Theme: Developing Helping Relationships for Biblical Soul Care

4. Biblical Soul Care: How Do You Share It? (Applying Biblical Soul Care Principles within the Church)

   Theme: Further instructions on soul care principles and working within the church to support church leadership
